Moves Like Toddler

It ain't easy being little. I am not talking about me as if I am limited by my lack of height, I just find a tall person to do stuff or reach stuff for me. My daughter is almost two and while she lives a good, loved and comfortable life it cannot be easy to be a toddler.
You are learning how to do and get into everything. You are learning how everything works. You can reach a lot more stuff now and you want to do everything that the grown ups in your house are doing (and the dog too). The downside is that people are ALWAYS telling you no (or the multi-syllabic nonononononononono) just when you are in, on or doing something really fun. You have learned how to colour yet you want to colour on anything you reach and what does that get you? A time out.
In the middle of the night you think of something you want to do so you call your mommy and what do you get? Samuel L. Jackson. You wake up (at 5am) singing and laughing and yelling and even the dog doesn't want to see you. What if you miss something? What if everyone is watching movies and eating good stuff without you? Better yell. Here comes Samuel L. Jackson again.
The hardest part though are the tantrums. You get so frustrated because you really want to make a toy (or the dog) do what you want it to but it won't (stupid thing). You throw it and you get in trouble so only the tantrum is left in your bag of tricks. You start yelling but that doesn't work, you throw yourself down on the ground and that doesn't work so you start to roll (out of the room) in anger and people just laugh at you.
Yup, it's hard to be a toddler. On the upside though you get cuddles on demand, the dog thinks that you are awesome and tasty (even if you throw things at her), if you sing or dance you always get applause and there is always someone to play with. Getting to eat grilled cheese is pretty great too though....
Be happy!
